Outcome 1 Professionalism and Ethic in Computing

(Q) For the two staff members you have chosen, name for each a different Professional body which would be suited to their job role within the company.

a) I have chosen two staff members one is from the Game Designer division and Localisation Tester.

 

Game Designer – A game designer would be best suited to join the British Computer Society or the BCS for short because of their many game and animation specialties they can offer anyone looking to go into the designing field. There best job role to be put into would be a Games Development Team this offers them the chance to be part of a trained team who will design game plots and lots of activities within games and decoding bugs in the created game content. They work closely with their Senior Developer as they act as a project manager for gaming products.

 

Localisation Tester – a Membership with Institute of analysts and programmers would benefit a localisation Tester because IAP is a leading professional association in development and installation business systems and computer software using the many categories that IAP membership can offer like Business Systems and Computer Software it’s a chance to further their education and experience in Programming and software development and systems implementation. In the line of work but a Localisation Tester works closely with the Games development team and Animation Development Team but in their own group called Product Release Team who test every version of the game to ensure there quality and experience for the gamers is appropriate by sticking to a strict code of adherence and also to make sure there are no problems with the game itself like bugs or glitches to insure the game is ready for release.

 

(Q) Describe what these professional bodies can do for their membership, Business organisations and society.

a)  for an individual or membership, business and organisation it shows and impacts on them by helping them all it keeps them up to date with the developments and trends within the profession and gain access to documentation and a range of different qualifications to help them push their career further. They can also be given more adequate training but with a business and society side it can help with being given extra training to a specific field if they institution feel that you are in need of more qualifications or training in a particular part of your field. All there staff are trained to a strict code of conduct and care for the well being of there clients and staff. Society advice the government which has an effect on the public through technology and its developments like Internet (Fibre Optic and 4G) and many more compliments that come from professional bodies but still care for the well being of there clients they set up stands which are used and everyday general life like IEEE by following their own code of conduct.

 

(Q) Describe two ways in which these professional bodies may be able to Influence the computing practitioner job roles you have chosen.

a)  The benefits of joining a professional body and the influence that they can have on your particular job role is that they can offer you more training in your chosen field if they see that you need it and they go to bat for you like give legal counsel and represent you in situations if you aren’t able to do it for yourself they defend and help you in any way they can. But mostly they encourage and help you further your career by helping, training and giving you access to all the materials you will need to push yourself and get to the highest level possible of your qualification.
